The Court Clerk’s Office is a division of the District Courts of Oklahoma. All civil matters, family divorce, small claims actions, protective orders and probates of estates are filed in the office of the Court Clerk. Adoptions, guardianships, mental health and juvenile matters are filed as well but kept separate and confidential as these cases are not open to the public. The Court Clerk works closely with the District Attorney’s Office to file all misdemeanors, felony, traffic and wildlife actions and issue criminal warrants.
The office is an authorized agent to process passport applications. Licenses issued through the Court Clerk’s Office include marriage licenses, bondsman licenses, process server licenses and wills are stored for safe keeping.
At the direction of the District Judge, the Court Clerk summons jurors for the scheduled jury trials and assists the judges during such trials with the jurors.The Clerk’s office is also responsible for preparing and transmitting appeal cases to the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
